National Urban Livelhood Mission
The National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM) is an initiative launched by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MOHUA), Government of India, aimed at addressing urban poverty and improving livelihood opportunities for the urban poor. NULM is designed to empower the marginalized urban population by providing them with skill development, financial inclusion, and employment opportunities to break the cycle of poverty and improve their quality of life.
NULM focuses particularly on urban areas, where rapid urbanization often leads to challenges like unemployment, underemployment, poor living conditions, and lack of access to essential services.
