Fixed Deposits
A Fixed Deposit (FD) is a popular and secure investment option offered by banks, financial institutions, and post offices. It allows you to invest a lump sum amount for a fixed tenure, typically ranging from 7 days to 10 years, at an agreed-upon interest rate. The best part about a Fixed Deposit is that you earn higher interest rates than regular savings accounts, while your principal remains safe and secure.
With a Fixed Deposit, your investment earns interest over a predetermined period, and the entire amount, including interest, is paid back to you at the end of the tenure. FDs are ideal for individuals looking for low-risk investments that provide guaranteed returns and are often used by those looking to build wealth steadily for future needs, such as retirement, education, or major life events.
